Ultimate Street Cars at Pikes Peak International Raceway
Pikes Peak International Raceway is the 4th stop for the 2018 Optima Batteries Search for the Ultimate Street Car series. PPIR is the ideal venue for a mid-summer race, with daytime temperatures in the low 90’s and evenings dropping down into the high 60’s. Not to mention the 1.3-mile roval that makes for a great auto-x course in addition to being a world-class road racing venue.
Not your average Autocross
Most autocross courses take place in your local abandoned parking lot. This is what makes autocrossing the most accessible motorsport in the world. But the Ultimate Street Car series isn’t your average autocross event. By leveraging the PPIR facility and it’s unique track layout we are able to offer something completely different. The Detroit Speed autocross adds elements of both a road course and a little bit of banked oval to the mix.
