#TrailToSEMA – Day 3 – “Moab Rim”
We pick up episode 3 at the top of Rocker Knocker on Pritchett canyon where the steering on John Mizerka’s LJ had left his Jeep a little cross-eyed. It was getting late and the sky was getting dark with rain looming on the horizon. Join the crew as we complete the trail in less than ideal conditions, and head to Moab Rim.
The next morning Kris headed to Dixie 4 Wheel Drive to get a replacement power steering pump as the one on his JK had given up the ghost on Pritchett Canyon the day before. As they say when the cat’s away, the mice will play… Kris handed the task of leading over to Ian Johnson who quickly called an audible and took the group up Moab Rim. The choice was made to do the “up and down” only as this was the best option for a short yet challenging day on the trail.
Just because it’s quick doesn’t mean Moab Rim is without its challenges. The ascent and descent of the trail has the highest density of obstacles in the shortest distance in Moab. The shear drop off on the edge of the trail can definitely test the nerves of even the most experienced off-roader, especially on the way down!
