PowerStop, manufacturer of the Performance Upgrade Brake Kits, has teamed up with RTM Productions for the second year in a row to give away an 800+ HP 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8. Following on the success of last year’s giveaway, the “PowerStop Ultimate Challenger” will be built on PowerNation’s Detroit Muscle and Engine Power shows, and then given away to one lucky viewer at the end of the year.
The PowerStop Ultimate Challenger’s 420ci twin turbo Gen III Hemi will be built by Pat Topolinski and Mike Galley, co-hosts of PowerNation TV’s Engine Power. The Hemi will feature Tony Bishoff Racing heads and machine work by the School of Automotive Machinists, as well as a twin turbo kit from Hellion Power Systems. Handling duties come by way of an Eibach adjustable suspension provided by Summit Racing and Continental Tires wrapped around 20” HRE wheels. A PowerStop Track and Street brake kit provides the stopping power, equipped with Track Day friction mated to PowerStop’s Drilled and Slotted High-Carbon rotors. The brake kit also includes a set of Z26 Street Warrior pads for low dust and noise-free daily driving and trips to and from the track. Level 10 Transmission will build the 6-speed automatic trans to handle up to 1200 HP and the power will find it’s way to the tires via a custom built G-Force IRS and 1320 half shafts. The build is rounded out with styling by Saleen, their 570 Black Label body kit will make sure this beast looks as good as it performs.
Tommy Boshers and Marc Christ, the co-hosts of PowerNation TV’s Detroit Muscle will provide viewers with the step by step build of this project. They’ll then take the car out to The Bondurant Racing School to get professional driving instruction in one of Bondurant’s SRT Performance Driving courses, giving them the knowledge to take this 800+ HP beast out on the track.
