Ryan Litteral Drift season preview 2020

The Formula Drift season is about to get underway this weekend starting September 4th. Usually kicking off in early April, it’s been very different for PowerStop driver Ryan Litteral to prepare and keep momentum from his successful 2019 campaign where he was donned Most Improved Driver by his fellow competitors.

Staying Ready During a Pandemic

COVID-19 Coronavirus has affected the whole world in ways we never thought possible, motorsports included. The Formula Drift season took a backseat, waiting to see if, when, and how competition could take place in 2020. During the hiatus, Ryan Litteral did not sit idly; he went to work.

Ryan took to the virtual track with racing simulators like Forza and Assetto Corsa. Whether he was streaming practice sessions on Twitch or running his own virtual drift competition, he was putting in the work to improve his craft in an uncertain world.

Drifting – In Real Life

Eventually, real, in-person events started to come back. Gridlife held its first drift event of the year at Autobahn Raceway in Joliet, allowing Ryan to bring the fan-favorite S14 PowerStop Party Car and get some actual seat time.
