Every year, the world famous SEMA show is held in Las Vegas to highlight the best innovations and new products in the aftermarket automotive world. When most vendors and attendees take a flight to the show, we take the scenic route. For 2019, 14 off road enthusiasts, Youtubers, Internet TV stars take on 10 days of hardcore off road wheeling in heavily modified Jeeps/4x4s that spans 4 states and over 1800 miles in this endurance-testing adventure. Join us where the pavement ends on PowerStop’s Trail To SEMA.
The SEMA Show
Back to the real world…sort of. We’ve completed our 10-day off road adventure on some of the most hardcore trails the Western United States has to offer. From desert-floor Arizona, to mountainous California, then lake bed California and on to wide open Utah; we went through it all on Trail To SEMA 2019. To cap it all off, we finish at the world famous SEMA Show. Every year, more than 60,000 people come to the Las Vegas Convention Center to see what’s new and innovative in the automotive aftermarket.
In our booth, surrounded by affordable brake upgrades for nearly all vehicle and driving styles was Ryan Litteral with his fan-favorite S14 Party Car. The near 6lb of flake stood out from the many awesome cars at SEMA and we were happy to have him! The Party Car is equipped with our off the shelf Nissan 370Z Nismo kit. It was great to see all our products for each lifestyle shown together and to interact with everyday drivers, track enthusiasts, and off-roaders alike at the show!
Brittany Willams of LiteBrite Studios introduces us to the Milestar Tire booth. Milestar proved its off road worth on Trail To SEMA 2019 with their Patagonia M/T tire. Martin showed us what’s new for this year, the Patagonia X/T tire that is made to go on trail and then hit the highway after, with an impressive 40,000 mile warranty.
Next, we met with Traxxas, who supplied some downtime fun for us on trail with their TRX-4 Sports. They have everything from Trophy Trucks to Super Car models that are easily customizable and a ton of fun. Until 02/27/20, you can still enter to win a TRX-4 Sport from Traxxas through our Trail To SEMA Giveaway! You can enter once per day, with the opportunity to win bonus entries. While we are used to seeing Jay Payson covered in dirt from the trail he’s on with us, it was nice to stop by and see him talking about the new HP Tuners products for this year in work clothes. Last year, HP Tuners used their new MPVI 2 on trail. This year, they were excited to tell us about their new capabilities for tuning your vehicle directly from your phone! They promise to bring it on next year’s Trail To SEMA and we can’t wait!
With the help of our friends from REVKIT, we took a visit to the Rigid Industries booth where we saw other familiar faces Tiffany Stone and Jeremy Clanton. When in the “Optic Zone”, Jeremy introduced us to Adapt E-Series lights that adapt to your speeds and surroundings on trail to give you the best visibility no matter the situation or terrain.
When we checked in to see how the Aerolidz team was doing, we learned about some design changes for their famous light bar covers. With a more sleek design, the covers now focus the light forward, eliminating any light coming in to the cabin. Their light bar covers still offer an insane amount of customization and help kill the annoying whistle many light bars make when up to speed!
Last, but certainly not least: Optima Batteries! It’s always good to see the voice of the Optima Search For The Ultimate Streetcar, Jimmy Day, and hear about the amazing battery products Optima has in store for just about every vehicle on the road (and water!). Optima provided their deep cycle, Yellow Top Batteries to everyone on Trail To SEMA and along with Rigid Industries helped us light up Chocolate Thunder in Johnson Valley for our night run. We will see Jimmy again soon out on track, stay tuned!
